GIRL, FUCK THEM!

As I typed out that title, all that came through my mind were lyrics from Flo Milli-“Family don’t like the way that I’m living, but they didn’t raise me so fuck they opinion!”

That’s a whole sermon hunty! Cause 2020 has definitely reminded me of how close I should be keeping some people in my circle.

Don’t you know I had been refraining from cursing on my online platforms “too much” because I didn’t want to appear unprofessional. You know, I am building a business and all insert eye roll.

I was raised to believe that you have to keep this perfect face on, as you enter the professional atmosphere. No locs, no dyed hair, no facial piercings, no visible tattoos… dadadadadadaaaaaa

It’s all bullshit if you ask me, honestly! We are basically telling people “if you want to be successful, you have to look and talk exactly like the prototype”…. because THE REAL YOU, isn’t like-able enough. No one will support you if you show your true self. Well, that’s what it unconsciously says.

Let me be the first to say.: You will be VERY UNHAPPY living a lie! So it is best to live in YOUR TRUTH. The people that are meant to be in your village, will show up in perfect time!

I go deeper into this concept in my book Live out Loud, which is coming up on its 1-year anniversary!

Instead of worrying about how people will look at you and create false narratives, it is best to just be the best you that you can be…

To the people who have a problem with your true self; FUCK THEM! Keep pushing and keep becoming a better you!
