What you are NOT going to do from this point on… is let someone else play you like you’re dumb. Like for real! It’s intriguing to see how often people downplay their worth and abilities as a way to get a “piece” of something or someone else.
I don’t care what society tries to tell you, but a “piece” of something is NOT better than nothing. A piece only constantly reminds you of how much you have fallen short of something else. It honestly fucks with your self-esteem.
Never be afraid to set important boundaries, request that salary increase when you feel you deserve it, or charge the worth of the services you provide. So many people downplay their worth out of fear that others won’t pay what they are requesting.
Guess what?
If someone feels your prices are too high for them, well they were never your customer to begin with.
If someone feels your reasonable boundaries are ridiculous, and constantly tries to cross them, well my love… it may be time to leave them alone.
Know your worth, and then add tax!
Those who are meant to be around will be around. Those who want your services will pay your fee. Those who value and respect you will do that by respecting your boundaries.
Do all the things… but what I am not okay with you doing, is sleeping on yourself!
