What's most important? Healthy Boundaries!

I was expecting him to say “well, what did you do?” or “maybe you should have…” because I had become so used to everyone else telling me how I was wrong for speaking my mind or holding people accountable to my boundaries. I had become so accustomed to it… that I had begun to relax those same boundaries I was trying to enforce.

As I finished wiping the tears on my face, while looking at my therapist through the computer screen, in shame… it was that moment when everything had begun to make sense.

And I needed the reminder….

After I finished sobbing away, with snot running down and all, he looked at me and said…. “it sounds like you are trying to figure out how to create healthy boundaries.”

In that moment, all I could do was look at him like… “wow, you are so right!” I had been trying to enforce all of these boundaries, that they were smoke and mirrors. They weren’t getting to the heart of the problem and what I needed. I needed to be clear, concise, and I MUST stick to them.

It was that moment when I remembered… we can’t control a person’s actions; but we can control the access they have to you.

So long story short…. If the person or situation is unable to respect it; then you need to walk away and never look back. #liveoutloud

Have you become "too busy"?

This year, I made an effort to work towards becoming less busy and more intentional. The reality is, many of us have filled our schedules with so many things that are not beneficial to us, our goals, and well-being. We have simply become busy doing a BUNCH OF NOTHING!

What do you do when you feel too tired to keep pushing?

I ask this, because this is something that is inevitable during our lifetime. We will all come across a time when our plates are full to maximum capacity; forcing us to become fatigue and empty. What makes it even harder, is having a life that doesn’t really have room for “rest”.

Alot of us are living busy lives.

Guess what….?

These busy lives is killing us slowly.

This year, I made an effort to work towards becoming less busy and more intentional. The reality is, many of us have filled our schedules with so many things that are not beneficial to us, our goals, and well-being. We have simply become busy doing a BUNCH OF NOTHING!

Today, I challenge you to take a look at everything you have on your plate. I want you to prioritize each item on your daily agenda. NOW, I want you to cross off the last two.

They don’t really need to get done today. Get yourself a little rest, My Love.
